DB on the awesome summit of the East Spur
Lady Mountain’s East Spur is an impressive, exposed sub-peak of Lady Mountain, looming over Zion Canyon and the lodge, though still a full thousand feet below the parent peak.
Heading up the righteous Lady Mountain trail, we passed through the first crux and soon gained the ridiculously brushy, class 4 gully that leads to the notch between Lady and the East Spur. Once there, we hung a right and worked our way to the stunning, exposed summit.
Incredible views abound, with particularly interesting views into Behunin Canyon and Spearhead Canyon!
